Apples Christmas Cove-9084

Mr. John Kilcherman in the soda bottle room at Christmas Cove Farm

It’s another crystal-clear blue day, and mild for November. Sunday was perfect to take a leisurely drive the way all the way to the northern tip of the peninsula to the Grand Traverse Lighthouse, with a mandatory stop along the way at Mr. Kilcherman’s Christmas Cove Farm. The collection of bottles is nothing short of phenomenal. And the apples are delicious!

It’s been years since I made that visit to the GT Lighthouse…back when my father (the first owner of Van’s Garage in Leland) would be delighted at seeing places that were especially meaningful to him because of his boating ventures.

Christmas Cove is a fantastic place with great apples, and wonderful eye candy that is so much fun to gaze at.
