Walter11-11-16

November 11th will always bring back memories of my friendship with Walter McCord.  And in many ways also with General Mark Clark, both gentleman were important participants in our victory of WW ll as well as Leland neighbors during the summer.  Walter of course was born on November 11, 1918 and was one of my favorite photographers.  I had the privilege of photographing them both.

Keith, can you tell us approximately the year Walter took those pictures of Fishtown? Great shots and great memories.

..and I’d add my father, John K. Van Raalte, who served in the Pacific Navy in WWII.
