Power went out at 2 pm yesterday, cable at 4.  Both returned at 11am this morning.  A lot of trees, especially pine, down with the wind gusting over 50 mph at times. We have a 14K Generac that kicks in after 10 seconds of outage, one of our best investments.  Don’t build a home up here without one.

Van’s Beach was busy with surfers taking advantage of the big waves. The 2 inches of snow reported below is what we received overnight.

We also have a 14KV Generac. Down here, for the last 2 years, it has been a good way to buy off power outages…..before that it got considerable use. It is however, a real comfort to know that high heat, or shivering cold, we are comfortable and we will not have any food spoilage.

Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy a 14KV Generac. Does an electrician have to install it? If it does who would you recommend. Thanks, Bill
