Big Blue was as calm this morning as it could possibly be, not a ripple, not a sound. Tomorrow promises a different picture with a storm moving across with some heavy rain expected to arrive early evening

	From Easydoesit on 7/14/2010 Yesterday I wanted to comment that my daughter gave me a pair of New Balance shoes a couple years ago and I love them. Wore them all day yesterday as I toured the beautiful gardens sponsored by the Elk Rapids Garden Club, hope that isn't an "unsolicited advertisement". Two beautiful pictures, yesterday and today, thank you so much! That Biscuit is sure a charmer! Hey did I get first again? Oooops,Jim was first.

	From GARFISH on 7/15/2010 missing are Ali &Ssavannah. My 17 yr old neice & her friend (a first time visitor to leland) from north carolina, both had a great time swimming in the unusually warm lake michigan on this beach & van's beach.

	From Jeff in Paw Paw on 7/15/2010 Shameless Plug Alert - My lovely wife, Kathleen Murphy, is showing her paintings at the Old Art Building this Friday and Saturday. An opening reception is Friday evening from 5 to 9 (with refreshments and music!) and a public viewing Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. Although we spend a couple weeks in Leland during the summer, as a young lady in the 70s, Kathleen helped her brother Mike at the Riverside and generally inhabited the peninsula until I married her and dragged her down state. She’s showing both new and older work from a long and illustrious career. Come on over, take a look and say hi. Tell her Jeff sent you.
