I don't care if it rains, I'll be in Leelanau this weekend, hanging out for 3 weeks of bliss. Hope my dog Cassie gets to meet Biscuit!

We need rain but please let it be dry for the Leelana Relay for Life, Suttons Bay track. Last chance for "Barns of the Leland Report" raffle quilt. Tickets at the Friends of LCUMC booth. Relay begins tomorrow at 6 PM and continues for 24 hours.

After spending Tuesday night in Manistee, we were SOOOO close to the Land of Delight on our bike yesterday, but alas the rain showers chased us home. We did get to drive the Pierce Stocking scenic drive before we left, just one of the many attractions to visit on your side of the state. The ride along highway 22 is the most scenic anywhere. You're so lucky!

Does anyone know what type of boat was in Northport Wed morning - fully enclosed "torpedo" looking vessel?
From pining for peninsulas on 7/23/2010
I didn't see it, but it sounds like a SunSeeker, which is a long, fast luxury yacht on a significantly narrower beam than most others.

Hmmmmm, Sun Seeker is a brand name of a GO FAST boat. Kinda been there done that.
From Northportgal on 7/23/2010
Nope - not a SunSeeker....this is shaped kinda like a hotdog - and from my picture looks to be silver colored - like maybe aluminum - or like a sleek submarine would look...
