In spite of the fact that yesterday was a cold and damp, we needed the rain.  Today on the other hand is sunny and not as chilly, is one fine day in May.  Lots of Gull activity due to the adding live fish to the river a few days ago.  Long time ago there were gulls all over Fishtown because of the fish guts being dumped in the river, which is no longer done for obvious reasons.

The DNR stocked Lake Michigan with Brown Trout. 35,000 according to their database. The river is one of the locations they stocked. This article except does a pretty good job of explaining why: https://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10364_52259_10951_11244-202063–,00.html#44-2
