It’s really been an unseasonably cold Summer so far. It doesn’t feel like it broke 74 from the time I was in the Art Shanty to today, but the last three days were spectacular. The first photo is one of my favorite vistas on Pertner Rd and Macksey. With the perfect blend of orchard and farm, all I have to do is wait for something to show up in the sky. The cherry trees are also on Macksey. The sailboats below are the Suttons Bay Marina and the on-sailboat shot was my friend’s Ranger 20 on Lake Leelanau for the sunset. Useful tip, don’t be too far away from home when the sun goes down, even if the wind is strong when the sun is shining, it won’t be after it sets. You might need to be towed in.
I’m using the shots from 7/6 for today’s report and 7/7 for tomorrow’s report with a trip to South Manitou Island, so be sure to catch that. Also, the Art Shanty went better than expected so I will be returning in 2023! I appreciate your patience in the long span between reports, I am only in Leland part of each month and various other places the rest of the time.
