(Report by Jim)
The breakwall is sporting it’s seasonal blanket of melting icepack while the lake level is noticeable lower compared to the last time I took this photo of Hall’s Shanty, by at least a foot! I’m sure he is relieved, hopefully when it goers up again this Summer, it does not match the level from last year. While standing on the newly installed walkway on the Lake Leelanau Narrows bridge, there was a low altitude flyover by the Coast Guard. Glad they aren’t looking for me this time!
Trail Report: Yesterday, I took advantage of some nice weather and took on the Kettles Trail at Baatz and Fritz Roads, just Southeast of Glen Lake. This has some nice gradual climbs and some more challenging hills, but I’m definitely coming back for the Bog in the Fall. Also looks like a great X-Country ski trail.

Missing Keith, but so enjoy your photos &
