It’s Monday! Last night the Leland Community Sing – the seventh Sunday Night Sing of the summer – was jammed. Song leader David Parrish, accompanied on piano by his wife, Mary, led us in singing many old favorites. For those who love to sing and will be in town next Sunday, bring your song requests and come to the Leland Country Club at 8! (The Sing is open to the community.)
August 16 is the final Sing of the 2015 season.

Can anyone attend the sing or do you need to be a member of Leland CC?
I don’t believe there has ever been a restriction on who attends. It actually started a long time ago in another part of Leland and moved to the LCC when it got too big.
Off topic – is the cove cam gone for good? I admit I haven’t checked it in a long time.
Not gone for good, but hard to get running because it runs using Java and recently Java upgraded their security so it’s almost impossible to get applications like the Cove Cam working without the developer upgrading the video display software. If anyone has an easy way to get the Cove Cam working in Java, I’d like to hear it, I’ve tried everything.
