Whaleback, viewed from Good Harbor Beach, on an “infinity day,” Sunday.
Even when it’s gray and rainy, this area offers up beautiful views. When the sky is almost the same color as the water (in fog or in bright sun), we call it an “infinity day” – it’s hard to discern where one ends and the other begins. The past couple of days have been bright and sunny: great for trudging through slushy snow en route to these overlooks.

Overlook at Leelanau State Park, Saturday. South Fox Island in the distance, just left of center.
Where’s the “My North” icon that’s normally listed above in the NW Michigan links?
Why did the “My North” icon disappear to? (on the list of sites we can click on above)/
Gorgeous Meggen!
these colors are stunning!
Please excuse me for mis-spelling your name. 🙁
Thanks for “trudging,” Meggan; nature’s variety of light and colors is wonderous!
