(Report by Jim)
Sunset is never over until it’s over! The sun set at 5:54pm tonight, but I took all these photos between 6:30 and 7pm. “The afterglow when the sun has set, these are things I’ll never forget.” When I got down to the harbor after dinner and just after sunset, I had my camera, but no battery. When I used my phone, I got off one shot, but then it died. I collected the battery from home and came back to Vans Beach and fired off some 20 – 45 second exposures. The clouds were moving fast, so they painted the sky. The last photo was entirely lit by the moon in a 46 second exposure, It was so cold, that was as long as I could stand there holding down the shutter button without hopping around.
