(Report by Jim)
The main photo tonight is a summary of sorts of over 50 years of rock collecting in this family. When we go to the beach, we all bring back three of four of our favorites. I’ve been doing the same this year and part of this spread includes all those rocks in addition to select rocks from well over 200 pounds of other rocks from the basement. This is a pretty good representation of most rocks you’ll find on the shores of Lake Michigan. Granite, Agates, Petoskys, Leland Blue and Frankfort Green, Honeycomb Coral, Charlevoix Stone (Favosite), Chain Coral, Basalt, Brachiopod Fossils, Chert, Jasper, Quartz, Sandstone, Unikite, and Septarian Stones.
Extra points if you find the:
- Beach Glass
- Pet Rock
- Piece of wood

Love the rocks! I’d buy the puzzle too!
Love it! It would make a great puzzle!
Lovely! If you made your rock collection photo into a puzzle, I’d buy it!
Found them! Helped to copy and zoom. Gorgeous rocks.
I found the piece of wood and several pieces of glass but I can’t find the pet rock unless you count the one that looks like a turtle head.
Looks like Jim is up on rocks, as well as photography!
Love all the rocks..I have so many around my pool in the gravel ..when I’m gone someone will live here and think they found a gold mine of petosky’s…😂😂
Lovely, but not nice to do this to a frustrated rock hound.
