Leelanau Books has just stocked a new book that the families who were witness to the August 2nd storm that hit the county should have.  The 108 pages cover First Sightings, Leelanau County, Traverse City & Old Mission Peninsula and Points East.   The photography was contributed by Northwest Michigan residents and visitors. Oh, and by the way, in the upper right corner on page 107 a Photo by Keith Burnham.

The storm of August 02 is something to remember, forget, and hope never happens again. It will change the landscape around us, but there is always the same Land of Delight to return to year after year. As with people, some things change – but many things remain the same and improve!
