Apples10-9-16

Another busy day in the Land of Delight.  A lot of motorcycles touring the county and stopping in Fishtown.  A great way on a great day to see the countryside.

Had the pleasure of meeting Keith and Biscuit! It was an honor Keith….and we made the Biscuit Report! Bought your book while there. The photos are beautiful. It was a day we won’t forget. Our ‘best to you’ hope to meet you again next year!

OK, I know at 81 I’ve missed a lot, but whatever became of lovely spreading real apple trees? You know, the ones with spreading branches, that daddies would hang swings from, and ‘tomboy’ little girls would climb to survey their world, sometimes with salt shakers in their pockets when the apples were green. Sigh, has the world changed that much that apples now grow on stalks for easy picking? Gee whiz! Where have I been?

I think these are simply different apple trees. There are plenty of antique orchards still in the county.

thank you, Jim – – thought I’d dropped into a different planet there for awhile. Sorry I’m late getting into the site again, but hope you see my appreciation for your explanation. Shirl

Oops. Guess I didn’t look closely enough at the header.
