Took a hike through a now defrosted Kettles Trail with my daughter. The last hike was so icy, I seemed to be a much longer trail. But I also found I went off the trail on one part, following other’s footsteps in the snow and thinking, “Wow, this is a really steep and difficult trail!” Now I find I was heading off one of the lookout points straight down the hill! A nice 50 degree sunny day greeted us. Good day to take in Bohemian Rd Beach and trim scrub trees at the house. Tonight, I look for Yooperlites on Peterson Park Beach. Not sure if I’ll find any, but you’ll know tomorrow if I do.
Thank you for bringing Leland Spring-time beauty to all!
Great pics Jim!
Great to see natural coming alive again! Wish you and your family a blessed Easter!
great photos… of course. I appreciate your inclusion of the interesting collection of stones…. I am always amused at the slag that I see (and have in my collections. Recently had to explain to a young ‘un (someone under 40) what slag was….. My examples of it are not as big as the small one in your photo. I guess there’s not much call for the teaching of smelting of iron ore and its residue….
Please let us know iif you find any yooperlites !!
Looks gorgeous…
