The Wildflower Rescue team will be on hand this weekend at the Village Green with a lot of Trillium for sale. Both Upper and Northern Lower peninsulas are under an extreme fire watch and No Burn Rule is in effect. Some rain is expected this week.
Another Lake Effect Day, in spite of the fact that the wind has calmed down to 4 mph. I won’t know what the snow total is in Maple City until tomorrow, Wednesday. Wind from the west brought in lake effect snow. A nice day to stay at home and watch football. A new Snow Report will be posted tomorrow. The Leland Report/Leif Spork Snow Gauge contest is closed. We had a total of 47 entries. We will report the final tally on 4/30/16!
A beautiful beginning to a colorful day. The color is at peak along the shoreline but not as brilliant as in past years. This weekend should be good for touring but for the rain predicted for Saturday.
Biscuit and I decided to check out the Little Red Schoolhouse and found it to be in excellent condition, especially with it’s new coat of paint. Just beyond, around the bend the destruction began.
