I tried out the two new mountain bike trails at Palmer Woods, Ursa Minor and Ursa Major. Minor is an easy and fun 1 mile track, Major is a lot of the same, but three miles. Had a lot of fun riding fast down these trails. Thanks to Chad, doing trail maintenance for Leelanau Conservancy, who reminded me that I was actually going down Major the wrong direction, as it switches depending on the day of the week. I missed that little sign at the fork. Keep that in mind if you try this trail, look for the signs on Ursa Major with the days of the week on them. Ursa Minor is easy, it’s one way. No time to do the blue trails today, maybe with x-country skis this Winter (assuming this Winter has snow).

Either way, it looks like labor, to me.
