The wind rules again today and the lights are flickering. We are on our way to the Big City By the Bay.
Today wasn’t the best day to take pictures. With wind and rain, it wasn’t very pleasant. Going down to the beach the wind sounds like a train roaring through. All in all it could have been worse, not as bad as the weather people predicted.
The gale warning flags are flying in anticipation of strong coastal winds for Leelanau County and South along the lakeshore. Yesterday the forecast was for gusts up o 60 mph, today, maybe 40 or so. Hello… It’s Autumn again, summer in November can’t last forever.
A lot of parking spaces available in town this afternoon. Gale force winds make outdoor activities not much fun unless you’re surfing or kite boarding. Color is developing rapidly in the areas with a lot of maples. This coming weekend should be nice to color tour.

Got a call early this morning from Leland. “Looks like you’ll be doing the report tonight, the power is out here.” As of 5pm, the power was still out and judging from the damage, it will be out for a while. Hope everyone is safe and dry. -Jim After the storm…
