It’s with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Rick Lahmann, owner of Reflections in Fishtown for 25 years. Not many people know, but I had approached Rick back in 2017 about someday taking over Reflections. My goal at the time was to move up here and run The Leland Report. Reflections would be a great location to… Read more »
I woke up early this morning not intending to take photos outside, but I stepped out on the deck and looked up and couldn’t help it. Clouds and stars are a irresistible combination. Later, I checked the webcam on Manitou Island Transit and saw another irresistible combination, Lake Michigan, clouds and sunset, with some surfers thrown in for good measure…. Read more »

Just take… Read more »

We got a little wet on the big wall, but the waves were not breaching it. The… Read more »

There are quite a few new houses up there compared to the last time I drove up so it’s possible;e this view will be someone else’s in the not too distant future. I headed down to the south side of… Read more »
(Report by Jim) I knew from the NOAA wind and wave forecast that today was going to be great for beach and cloud shots, so I headed south to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Point Betsie, Esch Road Beach, and Glen Arbor before getting back to have some Friday take out pizza from the Bluebird. The green shades below represent 6-9 foot… Read more »
