This is one of the reasons we drive as far as we do to come up here. I followed Meggen and Joel Petersen down to Good Harbor Bay in search of the elusive “ice boulders” and even though we couldn’t find any, we were not disappointed because the sky exploded in a palette of orange and red. As I was taking the photo of the Bicentennial Barn, the couple that owns it stopped by and told me that they had never seen it like this before. Neither have I.
The Leland Report/Leif Spork Snow Gauge contest is closed. We had a total of 47 entries. We will report the final tally on 4/30/16!

Wow! It is about Mother Nature cooperating and being in the right place at the right time…..but capturing both of these this well is a testament to the photographer’s skills. Exceptional!
