Vansbeach10-26-16Our family has great memories of the heyday of Sugarloaf Mountain. Starting with my wife Joanne taking lessons with Peppy Tiechner in the early years (1950) and later with our four children every Christmas holiday.  Skiing was an important part of our life.  We attended brunch the very last Sunday Sugarloaf was open for skiing.  In January, 2002,   I reported that Sugarloaf had let go of all there help.  The Traverse City Record Eagle reported today that the sale was pending.  We have been disappointed so many times that I’m afraid to post this news, but who knows, maybe this time…

The Biscuit Report today features members of the US Coast Guard stationed in Traverse City.

The 2017 Leland Report Calendar is available for pre-order! Shipping around 11/5! New low price!  Look for the Book and Calendar Bundle here:  http://www.artistasylum.com/specialty-items/e5b7837c1
