Saturday, January 28th, 1961, a beautiful sunshine day, We were married in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Riverside, IL. On our honeymoon we flew to Zurich, Switzerland and on to Davos for a weeks skiing, then Lech, Austria for another. Took the Orient Express to Vienna, which was still bombed out from WW2. We flew to Paris, France for our last week. Remember having lunch on the Eiffel Tower and all the wonderful amenities that Paris had to offer. Left Paris on a Super Constellation (propeller driven) and hit a storm over the Atlantic and couldn’t get higher than 10,000 feet. Ran short of fuel and made an emergency landing in Gander Newfoundland in a raging snow storm with elk running across the landing strip. Lot’s of memories.
Below, getting ready for some fantastic ice boating.
Oops, I forgot to say who said Hello. It was your friend Bonnie Olson!
Yes, where have the years gone! I met up with Winnie Olson who has lived in Palm Harbor Florida for the last 17 years! Who knew? She asked me if I was related to a Burnham, because her parents have some cherished Burnham prints in their living room. They also live in the Clearwater area. Winnie sent me pics of their prints. She told me to tell Uncle Keith HELLO, and to say she is glad to hear you all are doing well. Happy Anniversary!
Congratulations! A Wonderful occasion and quite a group photo! It would be fun for you to identify everyone in the photo. I think I can pick out Norb, Pete, and Joanne’s Mom, but few others.
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary!
A very special day with each passing year.
Marvelous! Congratulations and all Blessings—one can never have too many. Capping it all off is your generous sharing with so many other people. This August, God willing, will be Nummer 67 for us! ABTA
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY YOU TWO! 🙂
