Report by Jim

Color is really coming out now. I had the drone out on official business and saw huge patches of red and orange all over the interior hillsides. Some of those shots will be tomorrow. I heard North Beach was a driftwood graveyard after all that wind, so I headed down there around sunset to see what was up (or down in this case).

I’m curious also…..where does all that drift wood come from? Saw a Facebook picture of Point Betsie in Benzie county and that beach looked the same.

Great photos, as usual. Will there be a calendar for 2020 ?

The drone is in good hands!
Any idea as to where all that wood came from?

I expect the wood is from trees, mainly cedars, that fell into the lake after being undercut by high water.
