A Salute to all who have served, are serving, or will serve in the armed forces: Thank you. Sometimes we won’t be able to perceive the ongoing, hidden triggers, the residual effect of fighting on behalf of our country. I’ve become more aware of this through my brother, USAF veteran Morgan Watt, who has been speaking to audiences and educating groups about post-traumatic growth and related issues. One particularly valuable role is that of service dogs. If you’re not aware, these specially-trained dogs help veterans live life more fully.

Back home, we were enjoying fall color when the snow started to fall. Photo below: taken on my return trip north from Florida, which included a stop in Chicago.

Always thankful for our veterans, may they know we are indebted to them for their selfless service in preserving our republic. And special thanks to Airman Morgan Watt, who continues to serve his country alongside Foley. We really are blessed to have veterans like him… by his actions proving his undying love for our country and its citizens.
