Took a long lunch with a lazy float down the river today with the kids to get some Harbor House Ice Cream. Leland is pretty crowded and most people seem to be wearing masks and adapting to the new procedures. Some things never change though, people walking through the road at the harbor still don’t seem to remember that cars might be driving down that same road. Everyone on both sides needs to be extra patient and careful!

Another point on the little lake gets a new tenant. I’ll refrain from commenting.

Some are not content with the simple things in life that we grew up with. With as much time as most people spend outdoors in Leelanau all that’s really needed is a bed, a refrigerator and indoor plumbing.

Sad to see these “McMansions” going up on our lakes across northern Michigan. Same thing happening here on Cedar Lake in Oscoda Township, the only difference is the builders are clearcutting every tree on the property.
