Vol XV #245 – Why Did the Joy Cross the Road?

Wind died down today and the sun came out for the rest of the afternoon. An all-around Leland day. Don’t forget about 20% off everything on the store through Monday. Vol XV #192 – Up In the Morning… Out On the Job

The day began in Fishtown before the clouds moved out and the sun returned, the only sounds were the chug of the tug.  Fishtown is a special place in the early morning.  The only shops open are the Cheese Shanty and Carlson’s Fish.

Vol XV #156 – Meggen’s Monday

It was a weekend full of end-of-summer hubbub in Leland. It felt like summer!  With great sadness we announce the passing of Leo Jerry G. Shea, one of the mainstays of our Leland Community.  Our heartfelt condolences to his wife Patty,  Katie, Loretta, Michael,  Kevin, Kerry and their families.

Vol XV #120 – Cloud Wars

One of the great Sunday joys we have available here in Leelanau County are the Church Chicken Dinners.  Today it was Holy Rosary in Isadore and it’s finger lickin good. Jack Duffy and his family invited Biscuit to join them in a photo shoot.

Vol XV #91 – Janice Sue, We Love You

One of the rewards of doing the LR is meeting people like this group of fisherladies returning from a successful trip out on Big Blue.  Biscuit enjoyed a boat ride with my granddaughters Shae and Lauren on a beautiful Leland day.
