I finished the pen and ink of Hall’s Shanty on March 17th, 1973, 45 years ago, it was my 40th birthday. The photo above reflects what it looked like right after Falling Waters was built. Jim’s posts have shown what it looked like a century ago. Below shows what it looked like this morning. Fishtown has changed many times in the past century and will change some more. Trying to follow in the foot steps of Erhardt Peters and Walter McCord, I’ve built a portfolio of Fishtown pictures taken over a period of 57 years. I don’t know how long I can continue. I have “Post Polio Syndrome” and have a difficult time getting around. Times change and the “Report” will probably change. I hope to continue until Jim comes to my rescue.
Thank you Keith for sharing your world on your Leland Blog. I have visited your blog daily for years. I cannot tell you how much pleasure it has given me. I too am an annual visitor from childhood on and I never get enough of The Land of Delight.

Very nice pen and ink – that had to have taken some time….a real treasure! Also nice 1966ish photo. Very sharp and Kodachrome or film colors are rich. Back in the time when the water level was low. Good to see that the St. Francis is still around. Relax and take it easy.
