(Report by Jim)
Today I took off work to explore for my birthday. I headed all the way down near Point Betsie to the Old Indian Trail on my quest to visit all the conservancy properties. I’m at 11/37 in the past year.
Early in the morning, I braved the ice on the break wall which never fails to provide interesting patterns. At night, I braved the crowd and sang at the last Happy Hour open mic night, hosted by Liz Landry.
We were going to try to save this picnic table from certain doom, but it’s hopelessly lodged in the frozen sand. Needs a thaw or a pick ax.

Happy Birthday — cuz. Can’t think of a better birthday present than standing edge of Lake Michigan.
Jim – February 6 is my birthday as well and I too took the day off of work but didn’t have nearly as much fun as it looks like you did. Wish I was there. Happy Birthday!
If today is your birthday, or whenever it is, have a happy one!
