The wind finally came to a halt and it’s snowing south of us. Radar shows a system moving to the northeast and we are on the fringe. it’s supposed to be snowing here, but at the moment I don’t see anything here in Leland yet.
And for that matter, what ducks do no matter what the weather is. It’s a rainy day, the leaves are falling and town is pretty empty and Biscuit and I are going home.
A few sprinkles left over from the overnight rain greeted the sunrise. Small pockets of blue provided an occasional splash of sunshine. It was an mostly cloudy and breezy day. Fishtown and Greater Downtown Leland were crowded with Fall Frenzy people.
Clear and crisp this morning at sunrise, cold but not too cold. Today was a color touring day, unfortunately rain is predicted for tomorrow.
Fall colors are on their way. While we still have several days before it might be considered “peak color,” there are pockets of oranges and yellows already. Mild temps make this an outstanding time to be outside.
Today was as middle of summer as you could get. A top down day with parking spaces at a premium. Lots of folks in Fishtown. I wonder how many people remember that when Ozzie Cordes owned the Mercantile, there was a hardware department in the basement. At least I think it was in the basement, it’s been a few years ago. Looking for something of interest I took a picture of the “Merc” because it looked so nice in the morning sun.
