Vol XV #277 – The Day Before the Last Day of the Year

I couldn’t make it to my usual destination, South Fishtown, because of the depth of snow… so I ventured over to South Beach.  I walked in the footprints of previous visitors.  That’s probably the way I will travel on foot for the rest of the winter, walking in other peoples footprints. A hearty thank you to the crews that had to work yesterday and today and probably into the weekend to restore power to the area. Meggen and Joel Petersen… Read more »

(Report by Jim)The wind has been blowing hard in Leland and the cable is out so I am publishing the Leland Report right now. It probably will be updated later. The photo is from three years ago on the same date. WHEN THERE WAS SNOW. And lots of it. Hopefully posting this will help. Good news department: Authorities in Illinois… Read more »

Hey out there… pack your skies and head to… maybe Telluride, cause it’s just not snowing that hard here, but it is snowing.   So far we have gotten a dusting of the white stuff, enough to have Leif put on his winter garb after yesterdays change.     Click here to enter the 2016 Snow Gauge contest!
