This afternoon we will be in the Big City By the Bay, so the Leland Report is being posted early. Back in 2001 when I started the LR, it was usually was posted in the am as it was a good morning email to my family. Hard to believe that 15 years will have passed since March 30 2001. I have been interviewed by Interlochen Radio, the Record-Eagle, 9&10 News (Jack O’Malley), Detroit Free Press. I’m sure most of them believed I would never still be doing this in 2002 let alone 2016. I think back to those days when I walked up Sugar Loaf, climbed down to from the Clay Cliffs and all the other unique Leelanau destinations, unfortunately I can’t physically revisit most of them today, but the memories are great.
The Leland Report/Leif Spork Snow Gauge contest is closed. We had a total of 47 entries. We will report the final tally on 4/30/16!
What you do show is always wonderful, thanks Mr. B!
At least you had the opportunity to do those things.
We are all thankful for what you can & do today !
Every morning when I open TLR, my heart smiles and breaks a little. I am very happy living where I do, but I miss Michigan and my lake, and your pictures let me be there if even for a fleeting moment. Thank you!!
You are welcome, Laura 🙂
We left Michigan 23 years ago and you give me a daily dose of the state I still love! Thank you and Biscuit too!
Our pleasure!
If you took a picture of the same view everyday I would still love it…I have only followed your report for 3 or 4 years but have been coming to Leland since the 70’s….it is my favorite place EVER…..and you make it wonderful!!!!
Keith, your efforts have always been appreciated, and they always will be. I like to think I’m the biggest fan of the Leland/Biscuit Reports, but I’m in a very long line that has formed over these 15 years. You keep posting, we’ll keep loving/learning/smiling/laughing/admiring/dreaming/etc.
Your work on this site makes my morning. You’re a national treasure.
Thank Keith…..the “memories” are great for all of us fans also.
