(Report by Jim)

Took the day off today to try out the mountain biking trail at 45 North vineyard on Horn Rd, behind the Government Center in Lake Leelanau. Very beautiful view and a strenuous 1.3 mile course with an easier trail next to it.

After 45 North, we headed down to the Leelanau Conservancy’s Palmer Woods mountain bike trail on Wheeler Rd between Glen Lake and School Lake. There are two very strenuous and fun three mile trails.

After all that, we were ready for a nice long float around Lake Leelanau before pulling it out for the year.

In other news, the fences were being installed on the new bridge in Lake Leelanau, so it looks like they are in the home stretch for that work. It’s going to have two full width protected walking paths on each side.
