Vol XXI – #12 – Lake is Calm, Town is Full

So, last time (two weeks ago) I said warmer weather was moving in. I was kind of right, but it was short lived. We drove in at 1am and it was 31F. This morning, it was also below freezing, but both days it warmed up enough to put the boat in for the season and take a ride.

I will be in Fishtown at the new Art Shanty right under Haystacks from June 29-July 5. Come on down for Fishtown pen and inks by Keith Burnham and a collection of my photo prints!

Took a bike ride around the lake in the morning, this time counter-clockwise.

Leland, as usual on a Memorial Day weekend (like this was a usual Memorial Day), was not easy to walk or drive through. Good thing we took a boat. The Merc is still requiring masks, vaxxed or not, so be sure to bring one (unlike us, but they have some at the register). Floating up the river, we got a fly-by from the Coast Guard chopper, who did a few low-level circles over town and then headed off.
