Such beautiful surroundings! August begins exactly as one would hope: sunny, clear skies, mild temps, lots of great activity in town and on the water.
A cool and breezy morning turning into another beautiful Leelanau day, perfect for the Artist’s Market and also for Fishtown visitors. Below, I watched this surfer try to ride one in for at least 20 minutes or more without success, so I left.
Fog was on the move at get up and get goin time. Stopped by 2 Jays for a view of the harbor at noon and took a picture of the harbor fog. Not clear as to how nice a day it was.
A great day for a parade! It’s also a great day to celebrate our nation’s independence and consider all that we have to be grateful for.
A great day to go for a boat ride. A beautiful blue sky with occasional puffy white clouds make it a picture perfect day.

The day certainly didn’t start out in the right direction entertaining us with thunder and rain. The threat subsided and the artists returned to their easels. Busy most of the morning and early afternoon working at St. Wenceslaus Chicken Dinner. Checked out Fishtown around 2 and was impressed with the artists work.
