A cloudy startup with interesting patterns. Crossing the bridge over the Carp River I saw today’s main picture. Looking west out over Fishtown there was blue sky. A partly cloudy beginning with light rain mid-morning and dense fog by noon. In spite of the weather, picture taking was not so bad. It’s with great sadness that we report the passing of Paul Scott. A gentle man who will be missed by many.

We had a beautiful weekend and off to another good day Monday. The 415′ tug Bradshaw McKee slipped silently northward in the afterglow of Sunday’s sunset.
We celebrated Mother’s Day at the Riverside Inn. It turned out to be a beautiful day in the Leelanau.
Fishtown, this morning, was the scene of seagull frenzy. This afternoon they seemed to settle down. The mostly cloudy sky became a beautiful blue and another beautiful Leelanau day was ours.
All I can say is… what a nice day it is. It would be nice to have another one tomorrow… but that’s not to be because a cold front and t-storms are coming tomorrow.
In spite of the fact that yesterday was a cold and damp, we needed the rain. Today on the other hand is sunny and not as chilly, is one fine day in May.
