(Report by Jim) A cold, dreary day today so here are some shots from the sunset last night. I had the drone up about 330′, the lake was so calm, you could see the reflections of the trees. This was up at Onomonee Road Beach, which we used to call “Sunset Beach”. It didn’t disappoint!
(Report by Jim) Visited Carlson’s to get Biscuit his first fish sausage since November! The weather turned out warmer than expected, but cooler than normal. Snow in Chicago but no snow up here! A big part of Joel’s world is the family fishing operation in Muskegon, about 150 miles to the south of Leland. Over the past few weeks, they have been setting nets, to ramp up for the whitefish-fishing season. It’s summertime up north! A delightful mix of hot afternoons, icy cold lake water, the Cherry Festival Air Show (which we admired from a boat), rip-roaring t-storms that knocked down trees and took out electricity, and the brilliant sunsets that somehow always follow the storms.
