On June 22nd one of our favorite Leland couples celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary. Bill and Mim have been Leland summer residents since 1947, when they rented the house behind Van’s Garage before moving in 1950 to their present home on north Lake Leelanau at the end of Grand Avenue. Bill and Mim Steel spent their last summer here in 2013 and Biscuit and I were pleased to be with them. Mim will celebrate her 101st birthday on Friday, Dec.18th, Bill is 99. God bless you.
