Three generations of Lelander’s enjoying a Fishtown Shanty party yesterday evening, hosted by Peter Hall and family. Some of our reminisceing dating back 70 years and more. Great story telling, great people telling great stories. To many of us it seems like yesterday. I was one of the new kids on the dock, having partied here for the first time in 1960. Fishtown a half century and more ago was a commercial village dedicated to catching and selling fish with a few tourists here and there, not like today.
It was 49 degrees, sweatshirt weather this morning. Big Blue was calm and a couple of sailboats anchored out overnight outside the harbor.
Love the pic of everyone, such fun to reminisce, I don’t see you though Mr. B….the sailboat pic is a winner!
As a local kid, I remember many after-school hikes out to Pyramid Point with a friend. We’d slide down the sandy cliff and walk home on the beach. Thanks for triggering the memories!
