Vol XVI – #107 – The Riviera of the Midwest

Our congratulations to Alisha Glass! For what it’s worth:  Got a call from a friend who suggested that when Biscuit and I go out this afternoon is that we stay away from 204 because there is a guy walking with a long gun.  When questioned by deputy sheriff officers, he claimed he was exercising his second amendment rights and they… Read more »

Vol XVI – #105 – Beautiful Leelanau On a Over 80 Degree Day

A picture taking early afternoon with incredible cloud formations and just like that…  dark clouds moving in. So far this season I’ve encountered on 3 occasions, bikers 3 abreast with one in the road.  A few days ago a trio coming towards us was being passed by a driver looking at them while swinging into our lane forcing  us off the road. … Read more »

Vol XVI – #104 – Meggen’s Monday

On days that start out gray and overcast, it’s fun to seek out those little pops of color that surround us – cherries and flowers in this instance. It’s a beautiful, breezy day with sky peeking through the cloud cover by noon.

It was time to float the boat and tour the shoreline.  A new cottage is being built on Cemetery Point.  I took pictures of the original home before it was torn down, I’ll post one tomorrow.  Attended a cocktail… Read more »

Vol XVI – #086 – A Beautiful Leelanau Day

The day began with a mostly cloudy sky that really was the highlight of the morning picture taking.  I was very lucky to get the morning pictures as the battery died after about 7 takes.  I probably should check the gage every once in awhile.

Vol XVI – #081 – Calm

I have seen Big Blue with calm water but never until this morning, with still water, not a ripple of any kind.  Even with a hazy sky you can see the hazy reflection.  As the day progressed, strange cloud formations dominated the sky.  Sunset should be interesting.
