Breezy with blue skies this morning in Leland. A veritable “up north” summer day!
Yes! It’s a “chamber of commerce” day – sunny, clear, and around 70 degrees… so please enjoy being outside around here! .
This is an amazing place for sunsets. Wherever you are around here, you can watch the sun melt over the horizon, or the Manitous, or the breakwater, or nearby trees. Breathe a deep sigh, do a hand stand, grab a fishing pole. Above all this weekend: Happy Independence!

We might expect to see daffodils pop into bloom following today’s rain.
A perfect, crisp, clear fall day is here… perfect for watching various wildlife in Leland harbor: salmon swimming and jumping upriver, heron swooping over the breakwater, gulls flying about. Best wishes on this Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day!
This morning, the harbor flew a small craft advisory pennant. The Manitou Passage is likely to be rough, even if it doesn’t appear too bad from shore. From mostly cloudy to fantastic cloudy, what a sky show.! We have had terrific cloud formations the past couple of days. A one mile per hour northeast wind provided us with a picture taking calm Big Blue.
A beautiful day up north… great for sitting at the edge of a dock…
