Regardless of what direction, North or South, Leland is a one way in, one way out kind of town. M22 is a major scenic route, 12 months out of the year. Biscuit and I drive into town every morning and take a picture of Fishtown and say “Good Morning Leland” along with the temperature. We visit Fishtown at noon. Most of my picture taking is during these times. Other opportunities are trips along the way to the “Big City by the Bay”. Future “Leland Reports” will have some of the same scene locations, day after day.

When my brother and I were little kids, three-quarters of a century ago, we used to lay on our backs in the yard on the ranch in northwestern Wyoming where we grew up and watch the clouds as they drifted and changed shapes. That’s a pleasure that I eventually got away from, but I’m getting back to it as I try to master (no, not master, just come to terms with) painting with water colors.
