File under: “Why We Live Here” — the weekend’s snow became the highlight of outdoor play. My dad and I cross-country skied along the Heritage Trail, which had been groomed the evening before but then covered with enough snow to bury the XC ski tracks. It was idyllic: snow gently falling; powder on the trail; patches of blue sky; not much wind. Today we remember Martin Luther King, Jr., and his courage and inspiring words. “If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.” — MLK Jr.
