Mike Fisher and crew brought home a first place finish in Section 2 Mackinac Cup Division of the 112th Chicago Yacht Club Race to Mackinac with their boat Fishtales out of Lake Leelanau! I have the pleasure of knowing two of the crew, his son Judd and Frank Petty and we couldn’t be more proud of this band of renegades! After having to pull out of the 2017 race because of bad weather and 2020 being canceled completely, this was certainly a long time coming and well deserved. Congratulations, Fishtales!
My benchmark for a great summer day is any day in Leelanau County. Wish I were there!
