Vol XVI # 066 – Another Very Nice Day I’d Say

On the cool side but a very nice day in the Leelanau.  We went to the Big City by the Bay this morning with our student driver, granddaughter, Lauren Burnham.  She did a fine job.

Vol XVI # 065 – A Very Nice Day I’d Say

An overnight thunderstorm cleared the air and our morning began as another spectacular Leelanau day.  We received a shipment of “Leland Report” books and delivered them to Leelanau Books.  Sold 4 books before we could unload the box.

Vol XVI # 064 – Scattered Showers

The day began as forecasted… Scattered showers and windy overnight, cloudy and calm early morning.  3:00 p.m. it poured, 3:45 pockets of sunshine.  Interesting clouds.

Vol XVI # 063 – Last Day in May

It’s a beautiful last day in May.  Memorial Day weekend turned out pretty nice in spite of the earlier forecasts last week.  Below is the “Welcome to Summer” party at the Cove yesterday.  Today continues the great Weather with the possibility of rain tomorrow.

Vol XVI # 061 – Wine Tasting Day

The day began with beautiful blue skies and puffy white clouds and around noon, dark clouds started moving in from the southwest and a sprinkle or two happened.  Other than that it was a beautiful Sunday in May.  Fishtown was filled to capacity with weekend visitors, places to park… none.

Vol XVI # 060 – Still Water

With the exception of a brief sprinkle, Leland was blessed with some sunshine for the Wildflower Sale.  Lots of visitors in town, parking hard to find. Below in front of the Dam Candy Store are my granddaughters Lauren and Shea. What kind of a day is it?…  A nice one.

Vol XVI # 058 – Come On Down, the Waters Fine

The promised rain happened somewhere else. Still some fog lingering with occasional sunshine cutting through.  A nice day in spite of the forecast.

Vol XVI # 057 – A Foggy Day in Leland Town

A brief rain shower passed over last evening and fog greeted us this morning.  Not enough rain to alleviate the No Burn rule. Sun finally burned thru the fog and another nice day was in store.  Scattered thunderstorms are forecasted for tomorrow.

Vol XVI # 056 – Wildflowers

The  Wildflower Rescue team will be on hand this weekend at the Village Green with a lot of Trillium for sale.   Both Upper and Northern Lower peninsulas are under an extreme fire watch and No Burn Rule is in effect. Some rain is expected this week.
