The wind continues to blow, gusting to 20 and30 mph.  The path leading down to Van’s Beach this morning was drifted and with the wind, was a little too much for my legs.  Was able to get down to South Beach, but with the blowing snow, no pictures were worth taking.  With near whiteout conditions, there are people who drive without headlights, making it tough. to see them coming until they are a couple of hundred feet away.  I guess as long as they can see me…

Wind and lake effect snow are part of our life when you live along the western shoreline of Big Blue.

Sad News Dept. Received word of the passing of long time summer resident Barney Le Mar, 90, in Florida last Friday.  RIP Barney

Please don’t take chances with snow and people, we are happy seeing pics of your back yard! Thanks for sharing Mr. B. Love the tree and Biscuit!

Keith, for what it is worth, I don’t think ANY of us could have negotiated that Van’s Beach path today based on the picture. I have had the Boyne Mountain live cam playing passively on my other computer monitor most of the day and it has not stopped snowing for one minute there. They must have at least a foot, possibly much more. Maybe a lot more.

Hope all the ‘thrill seekers’ who drive without lights realize they’re endangering not just everyone who shares the road, but also may cause the loss of your wonderful photos! Thanks for risking life, limb, other drivers, and all weather conditions to share your art with us.
