Beginning a “Not Just Leland” series. Got up at sunrise to kayak down to Victoria Creek on the beautiful southern end of Lower Lake Leelanau. You might notice a couple more items added to the deck after last month’s adventure, a bilge pump and paddle leash! I missed the entrance by a stretch, (I thought it was more East, but at water level it’s hard to spot unless you’ve been through it from that direction a couple times.) I decided to paddle along the South shore and then back to Solon Park for a good 5.3 mile trip. I’m heading back to Illinois today. Thanks for letting me photograph your week.

Next time, I’ll take a trip down the creek.

As a native Leland girl, I love seeing the images you post on line. With the virus, I won’t be traveling back to the county this year….so my appreciation for your photos is a wonderful substitute this year.

Wow! Although you had that trip ahead of you still went paddling?

Oh , to have such ambition, again.
