Another beautiful day in the Leelanau. The stillness of the air presented Big Blue with a mirror surface perfect for Blue Stoners. But no rock collectors were on the beach.

One of my favorite indicators of spring is the forsythia that blooms, and heading north into Leland is an amazing row, just popping now. It’s a clear, cool spring day up north!
A lot of activity around town getting Leland ready for the season. Above… Manitou Transit is rebuilding the dock. Below… the firehouse in it’s latest stages. Lawn care workers cleaning up everywhere. Store owners getting their businesses ready. It’s still a little chilly, but I’m sure it will warm up, it always does.
On Sunday afternoon, Joel Petersen took the Joy out for the first time since its compete overhaul, and said he was more than satisfied with how it handles now with the higher rails and resulting added weight in the stern.
