(Report by Jim)
Today’s Report is a throwback to 2011 when the water was low enough you had to jump down onto the deck of the Joy. There was also a shoreline!. Biscuit enjoyed those days, but he does not get down to the beach as much anymore. You probably have noticed a decline in the daily reports. After 20 years, we have been scaling back from the “every day is a photo” report, at least for the time being. Keith is 87 and is dealing with some health issues, and I am splitting my time between Illinois where my kids are, and Michigan where my head is. As you can imagine during a pandemic, this all can be stressful. We appreciate all your well wishes and I will keep you up to date. Thanks to Meggen as always for Mondays and Sheen Watkins and Mark Smith for contributing. I am still having a snow gauge contest and will be announcing the opening of that next week.
The Leland Report 2021 Calendar is shipping now, get them while they last!
Jim – Many of us have been down the path you are now on. Remember to take good care of yourself so you are better able to care for others. Peace.
When I was working, the Leland Report was my first stop when I got in. When I can’t actually be in Leland I can always be in Leland with the Report. What a treasure! Was even in the Biscuit Report on Vans Beach one year! All the best to Keith.
Thankful for everyone’s efforts keeping the Leland Report going! It brings so much JOY. Best wishes always to Keith & family.
Wishing you all nothing but peace, health and happiness. The Leland Report has given us a piece of our favorite place when we couldn’t physically be there! We keep these images in our minds and computers for when we can’t be there. Be Well and Stay Safe!
Best Wishes to Keith and Biscuit. I have been following the Leland Report since it started, and it brings me hope and happiness. Thank you Jim for continuing this. Even though I moved to NC 5 years ago, my heart is still in Leland and Van’s Beach. I miss you all up there. Praying for all of you and all lucky enough to live there. Christmas Blessings.
Thank you, thank you….from Asheville….
My best to Keith & Biscuit.. Miss them!! I’m trying to attach a photo of my dog that I just took up there on a beach .. looks like biscuit.. his name is Hoover!!
Keith is a link to many years of these wonderful pictures. When we lived downstate 15 years ago, the Leland Report was a wonderful reminder of what we were missing Up North.
My oldest brother and I owe our lives to the beaches of the Leelanau Peninsula, with grandparents and THEIR siblings in Leland. Our vacations, for decades, were in Leland and vicinity. I appreciate the pictures, no matter how many per week, and send warm wishes for your health and happiness now and in the coming year.
