A number of years ago the Leelanau County Road Commission experimented with a new road surface from Leland north to Leelanau Township. Bumper to bumper, elbow to elbow, it was that kind of a day in Leland. Oh and later in the afternoon, the Thunderbirds, wing to wing. They came over my head so fast I couldn’t take a picture. It was a wonderful day.

On June 22nd one of our favorite Leland couples celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.
