Vol XVII – #325 – A Spring Like Day in Mid February

The day began with fog and rain drops  with the temperature rising, nearing 50 degrees with clearing skies at noon, then with increasing cloudiness early afternoon began to rain again.  Not a bad day after all.          

Vol XVII – #324 – Meggen’s Monday

Sometimes, if you wait for it, the sunset becomes spectacular for a moment as the light ducks between the clouds and water. The red-breasted merganser and the gull were hanging out in Leland harbor yesterday.          

Vol XVII – #322 – Saturday in Leland

  Our Saturday began under a cloudy sky and began to blue around noon.  Many out-of-towners here to visit the winter beauty of Fishtown and North & South Beaches.    

Vol XVII – #321 – Sunshine and Twenty Seven Degrees

Our day began with clearing in the west. We are saddened to report the passing of Amy (Mimi) Chatfield, 96 years young.  The “Queen of Leland”  will be dearly missed.

Blue skies today, though it was a mere 18 degrees at sun-up. Today’s photographs are from Saturday, when JP and I went to Empire and watched as icebergs drifted by with the current, far out in the lake beyond the shoreline ice. Vol XVII – #269 – The Kind of Weather You Get the End of January

  January is still 5 days away and the Winter weather is as bad as any I have experienced.  Wind, snow (whiteouts), cold, making venturing outside a miserable experience. 4-wheel drive is a must getting up my driveway.
